Insurance & Payment
I work with a professional medical billing service that manages insurance credentialing support, claims submission, and payment processing on my behalf. A Business Associate Agreement (BAA) is in place to ensure HIPAA compliance and the protection of your health information.
Because insurance plans vary widely by carrier and individual plan, clients are encouraged to contact their insurance provider directly prior to starting services to understand coverage details. This includes copays, deductibles, coinsurance, session limits, and any potential out-of-pocket costs. Verifying this information in advance helps prevent unexpected charges and allows you to make informed decisions about your care.
The billing team is available to assist clients with insurance-related questions, billing concerns, and claim issues once services have begun. They work directly with insurance companies regarding claims and payments and can help clarify billing-related questions as they arise.
I do not personally verify insurance benefits or provide cost estimates. Your insurance company remains the most accurate source of benefit-specific information, while the billing team serves as the primary contact for billing and insurance concerns related to your account.
If you have general questions about the therapy process or need help understanding where to direct a billing question, I am always happy to help guide you.
Billing and insurance communications are administrative only and are not intended for crisis support or urgent mental health needs.
Session Rates
Private pay rates are listed here on my Rates page.
Clients using insurance are responsible for their applicable copay, coinsurance, or deductible, as determined by their insurance plan. Insurance reimbursement rates vary by carrier and are not the same as private pay rates.
I do not set or control insurance reimbursement amounts, and I am unable to estimate insurance costs on your behalf.
